Your doctor may order some lab tests to check your body's response to Fosamax. Do not let other people use their medicine. Ask the pharmacist any questions you may have on how to renew this requirement. You should know that Fosamax may cause serious problems in their jaws, especially if you have surgery or dental treatment while taking this medicine. The solution usually takes once a week in the morning on an empty stomach. The tablets of 5 and 10 milligrams (mg) usually taken once daily in the morning on an empty stomach and the tablets of 30 and 70 mg usually taken once a week in the morning with the stomach empty. Alcohol may increase the drowsiness caused by this medicine.¿What are the possible side effects of Fosamax?Fosamax may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or not disappear again:* Nausea. * Stomach pain. * Constipation (constipation). * Diarrhea. * Gases. * Swelling or feeling of satisfaction in the stomach. * Changes in the ability to taste food. * Pain in the bones, joints or muscles. * Headache. * Dizziness. * Symptoms similar to the flu. Some side effects can be severe. If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately before taking Fosamax more: * Stomach acidity new or worsening. * Difficulty in swallowing. * Pain in swallowing. * Pain in the chest. * Vomiting with blood or with a material similar to coffee beans. * Feces with blood, or black tar. * Fever. * Ampoules or peeling. * Rash (skin rashes that can worsen under sunlight). * Itching. * Urticarias. * Inflammation (swelling) of the eyes, face, lips, tongue or throat. * Difficulty breathing. * Hoarseness. * Pain or swelling of the gums. * Aflojamiento teeth. * Entumecimiento or heaviness in the jaw. * Cure slow the jaw. * Pain in the eye.
